Common products that might have contained asbestos include HVAC system insulation, pipe coverings, floor tiles, ceiling texturing, vermiculite, linoleum, slate siding, shingles, mastics, drywall and caulking.
The easiest way to minimize worker exposure is to avoid disturbing building products containing asbestos, but that is not always possible. Knowing where asbestos is and making informed, smart decisions about it is the best way to avoid exposure.
